Kathmandu – Xiaomi, the global technology leader, has announced the launch of the Redmi 12, a cutting-edge smartphone designed to deliver exceptional performance and features at an affordable price. Processor
The Redmi 12 features an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor with 2 x ARM Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2GHz and 6 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It is equipped with an ARM Mali-G52 GPU. The device comes in different configurations for storage and RAM, including 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB with support for expandable storage up to 1TB.
Display
The device features a 6.79″ FHD+ DotDisplay with a resolution of 2460×1080 and a pixel density of 396 PPI. It offers a contrast ratio of 1500:1, a color gamut of 70% NTSC, and a maximum brightness of up to 550 nits (HBM). The display supports AdaptiveSync with options for 36Hz, 48Hz, 60Hz, and 90Hz refresh rates. It also includes Reading Mode 3.0 and holds SGS Low Blue Light Certification.
Camera
For photography, the Redmi 12 is equipped with a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 120° field of view, and a 2MP macro camera. The rear camera supports video recording at 1080P (1920×1080) at 30fps and 720P (1280×720) at 30fps. On the front, there is an 8MP camera with support for 1080P (1920×1080) and 720P (1280×720) video recording.
Battery & Charging
The device houses a 5000mAh battery (typ) and supports 18W fast charging.You get a 22.5W fast charger inside the box. A power adapter is sold separately in certain regions. It features a USB-C port for charging and data transfer. Security options include a side fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock.
Network & Connectivity
The Redmi 12offers dual SIM functionality with a hybrid slot that can also accommodate a MicroSD card for expandable storage up to 1TB. The device supports various network bands for GSM, WCDMA, and LTE. It also includes Dual Band Wi-Fi connectivity on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies, Bluetooth 5.3, and an FM radio with a headphone jack.

Redmi 12 comes in three colors Midnight Black, Sky Blue and Polar Silverin 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants which supports expandable storage up to 1TB.
6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants are priced at Rs. 17,999 and Rs 20,999 and respectively.
